I guess everyone wants to look slim and to do these with a positive result you have to set your goals, fat loss just don't come but it does if the tactics are applied the right way. Prepare and plan meals in time

Calories - two out of three American adults need to eat fewer. The rest struggle daily not to eat more. A calorie (or kilocalorie) is a measure of energy-producing potential. An average bowl of Grape Nuts has 600 calories vs. an average bowl of Frosted Flakes at 220 calories.

That morning dry bagel has 400 calories to the english muffin and jam's 170 calories.

The M&M's have 675 calories, while the yogurt raisins also have 675 calories.

It is difficult to lose weight and even more difficult to lose fat whilst keeping lean muscle. If you want to see your body do some seriously fast fat burning you need to be aware of what you are eating. Foods have a thermic effect.

The term "thermic effect of food" is used to describe the energy expended by our bodies in order to eat and process (digest, transport, metabolize and store) food. Our bodies expend energy every day by exercising, breathing, working, even sleeping. This energy expenditure is what burns calories. Below I will share some of the foods that can help turn your body into a fast fat burning machine.

Most people have never heard of the thermic effect of food and consequently they will just grab whatever is convenient whenever they are hungry. More often than not this food is not ideal in the quest to lose fat.

Protein requires the greatest amount of energy to process at approximately 30% above your resting metabolic rate. Fat on the other hand is very easily processed at about 2-3% above your resting metabolic rate. Carbohydrates fall in between the two. When we know this we can begin to realise that protein helps the body burn more calories and intake should be increased if we are serious about fast fat burning. The only question is what type of protein is the best option?

Meat, fish and poultry along with egg whites are some of the best sources of protein. To lower the fat content be careful to cook these the healthiest way by either grilling or baking. Avoid fried and breaded varieties of these foods. Be sure to choose skinless chicken and lean meat cuts. Milk is also a valuable source of protein but make sure to drink only a skimmed variety.

Fish is a good alternative to high-fat meats. Cod, tuna and halibut have less total fat, saturated fat and cholesterol either meat or poultry. Certain types of fish are very good for your heart as they are rich in omega-3 fatty acids which may help lower blood fats and reduce your risk of sudden cardiac arrest. Salmon, mackerel and herring all have high Omega-3. Eat more high quality protein and you'll find fast fat burning comes easily.

Catabolic foods burn up more calories than they supply and therefore it is essential that a number of these foods are consumed in a fast fat burning diet. Many fruits are highly catabolic such as apples, blueberries, strawberries, oranges and pineapples as are many vegetables; broccoli, celery, carrots, lettuce etc. Combine your high protein foods with these highly catabolic ones and you will find that losing weight becomes a lot easier than you are used to.

Finally I would like to add that it is very important to make sure you are drinking enough water. Water is essential to keep the body hydrated and enables it to cleanse out toxins and waste products. You should be aiming to drink at least 8oz of water per day to aid fat burning.

Highest Bodyweight: 235 pounds as of April 2008
Highest Bodyfat: 22% as of February at 210 pounds, never got it tested at 235 pounds. Getting it tested this Saturday at a Bodyweight of about 225 pounds.

Lowest Bodyweight: 145 pounds as of late summer (July or August) of 2004
Lowest Bodyfat: 4.5 % as of late summer (July or August) of 2004

Causes of heaviest weight gain: Due to lose of interest and slacking off in cardio/aerboic activity and getting to obsessed with making videos and talking online to much, also increase in junk food and caloric intake hitting an all time high of 13000 calories on day, and getting over the 10000 calorie mark more then once ever in my lifetime. This was the first weight gain where I went over the 200 pound mark as well, my second highest weight gain in ever was 185 pounds never hit the 190 pound mark. But ever since I got into weight lifting I constantly lived in fear that if I ever gained 200 pounds that I would be a complete blob of fat, but surprisingly i came to accept myself and didn't fret to much about being over 200 pounds, although now that my health is at stake I want to lose the weight more for that now rather then looking slim and cut again perhaps.

Cause of Biggest Weight Lose: My first year of college I was about 155 pounds and I gained 20 pounds of some fat and some muscle mass, but my bodyfat went from 8-10% to 14-15% and i felt fat and my abbs were starting to get hard to see, so i joined a gym that was very close to my job, less then a minute away, and my current job was at subway, so all i did was eat low calorie foods and cut back on my carbs, but probably cut back to low on my calories, but anyways after about 2-4 months my body went from 175 to 145 pounds (30 pound weight lose) also hitting an all time lowest bodyfat of 4.5% sacrificing some muscle mass, i looked pretty cut, but I probably lost the weight to fast due to not having enough calories in my diet, so that is why i probably never maintained that weight, i only held out at that weight and bodyfat probably less then a month, then I was back up to 150 in no time.

Healthy Weight Loss Tips

There are so many kinds of diets out there, some work better and some don't work at all. But even those that work don't help you keep your new weigh for long. And even more important - Not all of these diets are healthy.

Loss weight gradually

If you want to loss weight gradually then you should aim to decrees 200-500 calories from your standard amount of calories. Your goal should be to loss fat and your body burns the fat in a rate of 200-500 calories a day (depends on your physical activity, weight, nutrition and the amount of oxygen in the air). Meaning:

1. If you weigh more - the more fat you would burn.

2. The better your physical condition - the faster you'll burn fat.

3. If you won't consume any carbohydrates - you will have a harder time to burn your fat.

4. If you are doing any aerobics activity then your fat will get burned the fastest.

Remember - if you'll loss more than 500 calories a day - That's 3500 calories a week, a bit over a pound. If you loss more than that then you are losing muscles, liquids and more essential ingredients.

It's a slow process but you will see results for the long run.

Your daily menu

The right diet menu is the one that includes 55%-60% carbohydrates, 15% proteins and up to 30% fat from your daily calories needs. If you are an athlete you should increase the amount of proteins. If you suffer from diabetes then you need to make some personal adjustments.

Most of the problems begin when you eat a lot of carbohydrates in a very short time - your body can't handle that many carbohydrates and it turns them into fat. That's why you should eat more meals a day but make each one smaller. It is also preferred to eat healthier carbohydrates like whole-wheat flour and unprocessed cereal. A rule of thumb here can be to try and eat natural food or at least foods that are closer to nature.

Another thing to remember is that our body contains 60% of water. If you eat fewer carbohydrates then your body observes less water and you think that you are losing fat when you are actually losing water.

Weight loss is a way of life

Weight loss is a way of life - if you will treat it as temporary thing then you'll surely gain back your weight in the future. Don't fall for those miracle weight loss pills, a diet like everything else in life demands some work. The only healthy and fast way to loss weight that i came across so far is Hoodia but you can read more about it in my healthy weight loss blog. So if you are not ready to make a real change in your life - its ok but when you decide to try to loss some weight - make sure that you are prepared to make some sacrifices. And when you choose your diet program or your diet products please make sure that it is a healthy one and that it won't cause you any damage in the future.

I truly believe that anyone can succeed in losing weight - it is just a matter of strong will and choosing the right diet for you.

This is a video blog of my progress in shaping my body. I started at 234 pounds, the fattest I've ever been, and my goal is to reach 170. Once I reach that weight, I will start sculpting my body.

I'm putting these videos on YouTube for two reasons. One to motivate me, and two, to motivate you and to provide you with the necessary information so you too can have the body you want.

This program is modeled after Dr. Simeons' hCG diet, but it is far superior to it in many ways. For one, you're not injecting anything, and you're not injecting a hormone. You are simply drinking water that has been broken down and reorganized to mimic hCG. Okay this is kind of unethical, but it works - get yourself one of those machines that clips on to your stomach and tenses the muscles while you watch tv or whatever. Also, it will help your new body develop some kind of muscle tone, which is very important. Hey, I never said these fast weight loss tips were going to be traditional!

On the other side of the fence from the last tip are sit ups. Sit ups are a traditional fast weight loss tip. Okay, sit ups in themselves aren't going to knock the weight off, unless you plan to do hundreds each day. On the other hand though, situps can be a great way of confusing the nerves in your stomach. One of the worst things about starting to eat healthy can be the hunger pangs. Food with less fat doesn't bloat your stomach as much, and if that's what you are used to you will get hunger pangs, even though you aren't REALLY hungry. So next time you get that feeling, hit the deck for 30 sit ups, and you'll soon forget about being hungry.

Those who are overweight need to continue educating yourself. Loss of weight is not automatic. One can only blame outside problems for so long. One must make a decision to take some action now and stick with it. And education will help you to make some of these tough choices a little easier.
